Say goodbye to outdated popcorn ceilings

Low Country Painting is fully licensed, bonded and insured including general liability and worker’s compensation insurance in the State of South Carolina. The South Carolina LLR requires an active Specialty Contractor’s license for residential painting projects over $500 in value. 

For gypsum ceilings, we recommend applying a Flat or Ultra Flat 100% acrylic topcoat. Flat sheen is known for its hiding ability, allows for touch ups and a perfect choice for ceiling surfaces.

In general, our process takes 2 or 3 business days.  Popcorn ceiling removal duration is directly tied to the overall surface area being worked and existing conditions of the popcorn texture and underlaying sheetrock. Duration will vary job to job to some degree.

Given the task, the area needs to be primarily clear of furniture and personal belongings. We can assist to some with furniture moving. As will all of our projects, we protect floors, walls and pre-finished surfaces.

Most likely. As we are removing the popcorn ceiling texture, surfaces near the wall elevations will need to be sanded. Minor cosmetic damage to wall finishes is to be expected. If the walls are not being repainted, we offer touch up services to address any wall surfaces that may have been disturbed.
